RUSH ‘TIME MACHINE’

RUSH ‘TIME MACHINE’

About the Film

RUSH TIME MACHINE 2011: Live In Cleveland is an evening with Rush performing their classic hits and features the legendary Moving Pictures album live in its entirety. Released in 1981, Moving Pictures was their most successful album to date, certified 4x Platinum and features some of Rush’s most well known songs and perennial radio favorites, including Tom Sawyer, Limelight and the Grammy-nominated instrumental YYZ.

Captured in April at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans arena during the renowned trio’s extensive Time Machine world tour, TIME MACHINE 2011: Live In Cleveland marks the band’s first live concert filmed in the United States. The choice to record in Cleveland was a deliberate nod of gratitude to the first city to support Rush on its airwaves, as former WMMS DJ Donna Halper is widely credited for helping break the band in 1974 by spinning ‘Working Man.’ The reinterpreted live version of ‘Working Man’ was the encore closer on the Time Machine tour.

To Dave Rash.. I live in SC and RUSH avoids us like the plague on most tours – so I feel your pain!! I think AMERICA claims RUSH because their music was first played here on the radio.. I have heard several big name bands say – you haven’t made it until you can conquer America.. if its any consolation – I will gladly give you all the Hockey back if you guys will let us keep RUSH.. I mean NEIL moved to LA – so we got one of the 3 – lol .Take Care… Peace Dude!

Jim, Matt, Jeff and Paul, I travelled specially to Colorado from the UK for the two Red Rocks shows last year, bringing my wife and two young daughters ‘across the pond’. Those gigs will live forever in the memory. When ‘Beyond the Lighted Stage’ hit the big screens across the UK last year, I saw it twice; both were sellouts (admittedly, Geddy himself was at one of them!!!) Where are the UK showings this time? We need to see this on the big screen over here!Come on D&E! You can make this happen!
